With the help of Dr. Wan Pin ( 王　敏 ) staying in Japan, Chinese Government moved

and ordered BeijingPalace museum to check it.

Why?

Because she couldn’t object my clarification from the viewpoint of historical section in

“Treasure” Book.  As I didn’t show the seal itself to Palace Museum, they made a

decision through the photograph I had sent that it Is natural stone.  That’s a shame on

them, but they should have seen and touched it before they decided what it is.

It’s clear that they decided it’s impossible to make such a ceramics – a cube of

47x70x70mm without 1mm’s error, besides no cavity in inside.

So they gave a judgment that it be a natural stone.  Japanese representative scholars

have already given their decision whether it is natural stone or a porcelain.

Beijing Palace Museum’s judgment is an unfavorable result to me, but anyway the

“Treasure” actually moved the Chinese Government.  It is such a great discovery of the

century.

昨年来より、獅子印「寶」の事で、大使はじめ関係各位をお騒がせし、深くお
詫び申しあげます。
　昨年暮れに、貴国歴史博物館より「寶」鑑定結果の書状が届いておりました
が私事に追われ、ご連絡が遅れ申し訳ありません。
　あらかじめ危愼致しましたが、鑑定結果は同封のコピーの通りです。
　従って「寶」無償返還の当方の申し入れ全て白紙に戻させて戴きます。
　当方として歴史的「寶」に鑑み、貴国には一応筋を通した所存です。
　貴国の政治的問題には関心ありませんが、私の悲願達成には、台湾当局
及び台湾道教関係者・故宮博物館に向け行動開始する所存です。

　重ねて貴国関係各位に大変ご迷惑をお掛けし、深く陳謝いたします。
　大使におかれましては、真の日中友好関係にご尽力戴く事を心から
願っております。
　向寒の祈り、大使および職員一同のご健勝をお祈り致しております。
